Fundraising for charities is one among the most noblest of all professions, indeed. It is like invoking the godly sentiments of mankind and bring forth the generosity for which we only stand testimony. Truly, no other being in this universe is capable of charity as human beings do. Sacrifice may be, sharing yes ,as we might observe these in other beings like animals, birds etc. But renunciation and charity is special to human beings only.
Charity is about spreading love, concern and happiness. One should experience the happiness of giving, sharing love and the concern. A good fundraisor is all and more. We might observe most of the big names in celebrity circles are all involved with one charity or the other helping them raise funds for the respective organizations. This is because celebrities are good role models, not only they contribute but also they motivate others to do so thus making every one happy.
So fund raising is all about charity, glorifying the act of giving and making them feel like Gods which is amazingly true as only gods give. Just think about donating a dead relatives eyes to a blind man. Surely one can make the dead become a God instantly, this is the power of giving. Thus to some Guru Nanak has once told his father, charity is also a very good investment to posterity.
